God has a plan. Satan wants you to fall into temptation away from said plan. Id is “eat, fuck, shit, sleep”. Ego is “I’m the first of my family to graduate college. My wife is the hottest.” Superego is “if i dig a well, everyone can drink clean water.”

These are all describing the same phenomenon with varying inputs. “God’s plan” near as anyone can tell is to get humans living well and happy together. (He certainly doesn’t want to hang out if the tower of babble is to be believed) Unfortunately, those bastards are eating god out of house and home… This could be seen as the superego falling to the impulses of the id. So let’s talk satan… A body needs to eat; however, in the words of LCD Soundsystem “just ‘cuz your hungry doesn’t mean that you’re lean.” Which is to say, the words “do as thou wilt” does not mean “whatever impulse crosses one’s path is what one ought to do.” it’s more akin to “don’t let institutions convince you to live your life in a way that makes things worse.” The conflict that arises naturally is the same one in genesis.

Of course, in that instance, the reason to obey god was to avoid getting stung by wasps, which would’ve been good to have done. That being said the god of genesis doesn’t really understand how things work… If he’s to be believed, he created water before space so where was the water? In the heaven? (my point is heaven is a word for sky) And was ground beneath the water? so gravity existed but not the thing that brought the earth into orbit? Earth was made first, then the sun was placed exactly far enough away to catch it… However… god created two lights in the sky because he knew it was spinning? Also the daylight was created before the sun? get out of town… this thing he created was spinning and it has two lights… and one was for day which was already light, the other for night, even though the moon is visible in the day quite frequently… Sometimes it’s not around at night at all… also the moon is not a light… it’s a disco ball… but god had not given the people disco balls yet… Like i said… kind of a goober… i would get a second opinion too…

that placeholder turned out to be a teachable moment about plans… The son wanted to help carry his dad out… He’s an emt so he knows what he’s doing. I know what I’m doing. My partner knows what she’s doing. We don’t know what we’re doing together but the random dice roll of the dispatch has put my partner, J, in charge… So the “chain of command” is J, me, the hospice nurse, the son. However, the son is who we’re all there for. He just lost his dad. It’s his dad we are carrying. So the plan is, the son is going to carry the head, i have the torso. the hospice nurse is going to guide while J gets the legs. The son was not on the correct side for the gurney. In his defense, i had not mentioned how important that would be. the hallway is tight. we ended up like this.

Which is not how you want to be but i could still angle. So i start telling the son “get further into the hallway so i can move into the hallway too. The tight turn being made even tighter by the man’s son being between him and the wall. Anybody who’s played a block game knows that sometimes you have to tilt the piece to get it through the hole. Time is of the essence when carrying 200 lbs… so J started tilting the guy… which was not really the issue and was wedging both the son and i into our respective walls. J couldn’t see that and neither could the nurse because the ornate, four post bed frame was in the way. The son got the memo and we all went tumbling down the hall like the blood from the shining… The son had to climb over the gurney. We got the guy on, lifted the gurney, asked if the son wants more time, and as we left i missed the door and knocked a piece of wood out of the frame… See… My point is we had a plan… And it would be stupid of me to say “you don’t have to listen to her” if my partner told either the nurse or the son to do something. However, each person in that room could’ve figured out a way to get that guy onto the equipment… we’ve all done it, we just needed a streamlined way, in that situation, and the die had already been rolled…

So let’s take this to the current political climate. The die has rolled donald trump… Do we listen to him? Guess what… You don’t have to… and if you don’t, the wasps will sting you but i’m gonna swat them and eat figs… 4 years is a lot longer than 20 ft down a hallway… Which brings us in circles….

Any action or plan could consider these things:

Time: how long the plan will take and how long the effects will be felt. A divorce is felt longer than the action takes place. Same with suicide. Reach: How many humans, animals, plants, ecosystems, properties, resources, and pieces of media are going to be affected by your plans?

Effort: How much pain are you willing to take on for this?

Reward: What are you getting out of this? If it’s the ability to do anything other than “that again but better”, you’re wasting your time. Take a wholistic approach and remember effort… Having a clean room and short pubes is part of your sex plans… That or cultivating the most comfortable mess… (too many crumbs in my room atm)

Resistance: Is what’s in the reach gonna be mad about this plan? How will that effect the other 4? People who cheat really underestimate this one because they underestimate the reach.

Naturally there’s more to take into account… Id, ego, and superego are just ways of describing motivations for actions and the way they pertain to these categories. Superego is often thought to be altruistic. Is taking credit for something altruistic? Well if you have a staff and they don’t get paid because you don’t take credit, not super cool for them. So yes? If the winklevoss twins get kicked out of facebook to leave suckerberg raking in the dough, things don’t look good for Myanmar. Regardless of what one does in any plan, Those factors will come into play, or i will find a way to say they do and at the end of the day, what’s the difference? Why do people hate drunks? How small those circles get… “Tonight’s the night! after this we’re gonna get chicken wings, fuck, and do it all over tomorrow!” Small time, Small reach, Small effort, Honestly, amazing reward for now… tomorrow not so much… effort can be on the back end. This is as opposed to “love god” which could mean anything from chipping in a dollar to genociding an ethnic group… That kind of message allows the genociders to tell the dollar pitchers “they don’t want us to love god.” The only recourse i have found it to get very specific about gods. You love Jesus? which one? I personally love the islamic interpretation of Jesus… One of the only books i’ve read in the Quran. So which Jesus do you rock with? Even in the Bible itself you have 5 interpretations, one weighed quite heavily… and 2 or 3 more afterburner accounts of the spirit of the “guy.” How do those combine in your head and is it the same way they combine in your neighbor’s head? If not, you might be following different plans and “love god” is not a phrase you have in common.

Religion itself has fallen into the same trap of politics. The “world wide web” gave us the illusion that the citizens of it were now global voices. I’ve travelled all over the world and can tell you, i don’t know what’s going on in my own back yard, let alone places i’ve visited. Much like the race for dominance by the superpowers (usa/europe, russia, china) Religions are clamoring for “the big one.” The god of all gods! WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE GLOBE IS GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY, THE STATES IT CONTAINS, THE CITIES THERE IN, AND EACH AND EVERY HOUSEHOLD!
